Dark Entries

John Constantine must have been through more writers than any other character to have come out of DC Comics’ grown-up imprint Vertigo. Originally created by Alan Moore during his run on Swamp Thing, then spinning off into his own series Hellblazer, he passed through the capable stewardships of Jaime Delano, Garth Ennis and Warren Ellis to name but a few. Now he’s been passed to Scottish thriller writer Ian Rankin, more famous for his Inspector Rebus novels than graphic novels.

In Dark Entries, Rankin puts Constantine through a reality TV experience, but this is no simple Big Brother. Instead, he finds himself in a house that literally attacks the contestants. There’s someone from Constantine’s past controlling what’s going on, but how can Constantine find out who it is when he’s stuck on the inside?
