Even if you aren’t a gamer, you may have heard of Gears of War – a relentless third-person tactical shoot-em-up that pits the player against hordes of insectoid enemies.
This book sees the characters from the game fighting their way back to the Jacinto plateau after the Lightmass bombing. On their way they need to find and rescue any other squads that are missing in action.
Filling the gaps between the two Gears of War games, this is a must-read for their fans – though it may not make as much sense to those who haven’t played.
