Mixing history and folklore isn’t new ground for comics but this Korean twist on proceedings should certainly offer a different angle for Western readers. Guguryeo, a 2,000-year-old Korean kingdom, is in turmoil, as its king slowly loses his marbles and is seemingly involved in the suicides of his heirs. The latest in line to the throne, Crown Prince Muhyul, believes he can take some of the pressure off his siblings by taking it all on himself. But when his youngest brother goes missing and Muhyul decides to investigate, he realises that there are supernatural forces and not just his father’s madness putting undue stress on his family.
