Legends of Today

UPDATE: Preview art and new release date. A classic Bilal and Christin graphic novel from the seventies, soon to be republished by Titan Comics

Cover of Legends of Today by Christian and Bilal

A classic French sci-fi story from Pierre Christin and Enki Bilal is translated and reprinted in this graphic novel from Titan Comics. Collecting the first three Legends of Today albums into one volume, it includes The Cruise of Forgotten (originally published in 1975), The Stone Vessel (1976) and The City That Did Not Exist (1977).

The three stories focus on a trio of traditional French communities, trying to protect their utopian lives from government intervention. Typically of Christian’s stories and Bilal’s illustration (which was way ahead of most other comics artists of the time) the stories are as fresh now as when they were first published.

Legends of Today is due to go on sale on 16 February 2021.
