PREVIEW

Renfield

Literature is a great source of inspiration for graphic novelists – just ask Alan Moore. And few works of literature have been more pillaged than Bram Stoker’s classic gothic horror story Dracula. Gary Reed and Galen Showman’s Renfield isn’t a standard retelling (Reed has already been there and done that), but instead extrapolates on the lunatic character of Renfield, who foretold the coming of the blood-sucking Count in Stoker’s original.

Like Dracula, the story is embellished with letters, notes and diary entries, in an attempt to recreate the feel of Stoker’s story. Renfield was originally published by Desperado Publishing but is being re-published by Image Comics.
