Lone Wolf and Cub 3: The Flute of the Fallen Tiger

Lone Wolf and Cub: The Flute of the Fallen Tiger Lone Wolf and Cub: The Flute of the Fallen Tiger In this book we see Ogami Itto - the eponymous Lone Wolf assassin - getting closer and closer to death as he tangles with tricky customers including ninjas and samurai. His morality is brought to task again as he continues down his chosen path of sword for hire, especially when he meets a fellow wandering samurai who also uses his skills to make money, but simply performs an unusual side-show instead of murdering for the highest bidder. Ogami's reputation also continues to precede him, bringing more danger into his life and that of his son, Diagoro.

As usual, the stories are finely crafted and the art grandly designed. There's a particularly significant story in here that any fan of the series will not want to miss - the history of how Ogami came to set off along this path as a single parent. This lifts this collection a little further and develops the series without deviating from its goal of providing action and adventure for followers of Lone Wolf's travels.
