Having made their first appearance for DC Comics back in 1972 in the pages of Len Wein and Berni Wrightson’s Swamp Thing, the Un-Men have an illustrious history. However, since their last appearance in a 5-issue mini-series back in 1994, little has been heard of them. Until now, as John Whalen and Mike Hawthorne take the reigns and bring America’s freakiest citizens back into action.
Originally created by Swamp Thing’s arch-enemy Anton Arcane by stitching together body parts, the bizarre collection of semi-humans have their own reservation, called Aberrance. However, the people who run the reservation have sold the freaks out to reality TV, and a deeper more corrupt plot is discovered when a murder comes to light and external investigators are brought in.
