Batman, Bond and Harvey Pekar

Not three names you'd normally pull together in one sentance, unless you were talking about the latest collection of books to be released from Titan Books. James Bond 007: The Spy Who Loved Me is the latest reprint of the classic British newspaper strips and is available from Titan on both sides of the Atlantic.

For the UK only, Titan is releasing a swath of books from the DC Comics stable including the eagerly awaited Batman: Year One Deluxe Edition hardback, complete with notes, sketches and scripts from David Mazzucchelli; Superman/Batman: Public Enemies in paperback; Superman: Godfall also now in paperback; and John Ridley's take on The Authority: Human on the Inside. The superb WE3 by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely gets its UK release; Lucifer hits volume eight with The Wolf Beneath the Tree; and Tom Strong's Terrific Tales: Book Two comes out in hardback.

Also watch out for The Best of American Splendor by Harvey Pekar (review coming soon) and, for the more creative of you, How to Draw & Sell Comic Strips by ex-2000AD editor Alan McKenzie.
