Superman: Up, Up and Away!

Once you’ve read DC Comics’ Infinite Crisis, you’re going to be either sick to the back teeth of superheroes and their problems or dead keen to find out what happens next. First off the block for those in the latter camp is Superman: Up, Up and Away, which must be an ironic title given that it deals with a Superman stripped of the ability to fly, along with all his other super-powers.

Luckily, the man of steel has hot metal to fall back on, and the time spent unable to save the world is giving Clark Kent’s journalism career a much needed boost. Written by Geoff Johns and Kurt Busiek, with art by Pete Woods, this volume is being heralded as a great place for fans of the recent Superman Returns film to start getting back into the comic, now that the Infinite Crisis baggage has been lifted.
