Max Brooks has written a couple of books about zombies: The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. In this third book he teams up with Ibraim Roberson to recreate some of mankind’s previous run-ins with the undead. From pre-historic African cave-dwellers, through the Egyptions, Romans, even the French Foreign Legion, it seems that most civilisations and cultures have fought off zombie invasions, at least in the world according to Brooks.
