David Biskup is a professional illustrator and graphic novelist, who won the ELCAF Award in 2019. There’s Only One Place This Road Ever Ends Up is the book that has been published using the prize fund. Biskup describes it as:
“A series of autobiographical vignettes in which myself and my partner Hannah come to terms with her disability, chronic pain and long term illness following a routine medical procedure that went badly wrong in 2017. In it I aim to make sense of our strange new normal by finding comfort in the mundane and humour in even the most horrific of situations.”
