The second in Rebellion’s series of Essential Judge Dredd stories takes in the epic The Apocalypse War storyline, first published in 2000 AD issues 236-270. Starting with Block War and rolling into what’s widely regarded as one of the best Dredd stories ever, it sees Dredd fighting an invasion of Soviet judges across a Mega City One ravaged by nuclear warheads.
This story has already been published as part of Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files 05 – a great jumping-on point if you’re new to Judge Dredd – but this new version has been digitally recoloured, bringing Carlos Ezquerra‘s classic artwork bang up to date.
Essential Judge Dredd: The Apocalypse War is due to be published on 19 January 2021.
